In order to heal an ailment the practitioner or healer needs to first find
out the mental state of the person that is seeking the treatment to heal an
addiction. Also, it is important to find out if indeed the patient is ready to
change the habits that have brought them to the brink of insanity.
Rest assured that anyone who is addicted to anything is close to the
dividing line between sanity and insanity, yet I have always felt compassion
towards those that ignore the fact that healing can be obtained if this is what
they truly want to experience.
For years, or so it seems, different words or jingles are used to the same
social issue, drugs and alcohol. Yet remember when smoking and drinking
was socially correct, until one day, someone thought different and started a
crusade to vanish said behavior.
Except there are those among us who not only fell pray to the use of what
is considered illegal and to some immoral, when in reality all they have
failed to see is their lack of compassion for those who need our help and
guidance.
I feel fortunate to have observed out behavior for decades and not to have
become addicted to anything for very long. In my case, smoking and
drinking was socially accepted and so I did. Even remember that doing so
was considered sexy. For a young, silly young lady, it was the cool thing to
do, so I did them.
Till the day came when I asked myself the hard question as to why I did
those things, knowing that either was not good for me. Since I did not have
a good enough reason to continue I started the process to stop the habit {kick
the habit as it was called in those days} and was able to after many fail
attempts to do so.
Why was I not successful from the unset? Because my heart was not in
the decision-making process and in reality while I knew that I shouldn't,
wanted to, so I continued to smoke and drink. Not until I came to see that,
my emotional link to the vices held the key was I able to let them go once
and for all and be free from what held me captive for so long.
Was it difficult? Not as hard as I had made to be. My mind kept telling
me the many reasons why I was not going to be successful. Yet, I knew that
if I wanted to I would be free from the toxin that both these habits filled my
body and lungs on a daily basis.
With time people came to see me about their own addictions and have
worked with those who are willing to do the soul searching that is required
for them to stop using the abused substance.
I do not impose my views and anyone who does not ask them. I will never
tell anyone what to do with their lives, unless they are seating in my living
room and asking me a direct question. But if they ask, they will hear what
needs to be heard and more times that I can count, what they have heard is
but a confirmation to their own inner voice.

Treatments
The reason why you have not been
successful in your attempts to stop using drugs
knowing that is bad for you, is because the
habit becomes part of you and gets logged
inside your chakras.
Unless this is corrected, there can be no
cure.
